Thank you for considering a Red-Dawn Golden Retriever as your next family member. We are located 1 hour north of Dallas Texas.

We only breed a few litters per year. If you are interested in a future puppy, please fill out our Puppy Application. We will then inform you of upcoming litters that match your criteria.

Colors we produce

The majority of our litters are shades that English Cream Golden Retrievers come in: white, cream, light golden. We also produce occasional litters in medium golden, dark golden and red.

Heath & Raising protocol

OFA certification

All our Golden Retriever parents are fully health tested and certified with OFA, CERF and DNA so consequently these certifications improve the likelihood your puppy will be healthy. Parents (including Grandparents/ Great Grandparents) have testing and certification of Clear/Normal health for Hips and Elbows (no dysplasia). In addition they also have OFA certificates for their Heart, Eyes (by the ophthalmologist), Thyroid, Patellas and in good overall health.

The parent’s DNA is tested

DNA testing insures your puppy can not inherit the following conditions. We fully DNA test the parents therefore your puppy can not inherit the following health conditions

We give a 2 year written health guarantee. Puppies come to you up-to-date on deworming, flea & heartworm prevention. Our vet checks the puppies and gives a certificate of good health. Our Golden Retriever puppies are raised by the “Super Puppy” method using ENS for the first two weeks. Our puppies are Volhard Temperament tested for a perfect placement. We fed PawTree super premium dog food & raw fresh home made food and NuVet Plus supplement. Your puppy is Micro chipped with a Home Again chip. In addition the puppies are imprinted to eliminate in the litter box plus use the dog door and go on the grass. The puppies are super socialized with children, raised in the house and pre-spoiled. All our added benefits help ensure you purchase a very well bred puppy and in addition a well raised puppy.

How much is a Red-Dawn puppy?

All puppies, regardless of size, variety, color or sex are $3500 (plus 8.25% Texas Sales Tax). $500 of that is paid up front to be placed on our master deposit wait list. $3000 remaining purchase plus tax is due once your puppy is chosen at 8 weeks of age.

How the Pick Order/ Deposit process works

Red-Dawn has been blessed with many referrals and repeat puppy buyers. Consequently depositors may have to wait 4-12 months for a puppy based on how often we have a litter. God continues to bless us with healthy puppies, but we have no control over what mothers are able to get pregnant or how many puppies are born in each litter. Our mother dogs are pets first and we limit the amount of litters each girl has.

First

Please fill out a Puppy Application

We review your answers on the Puppy Application and contact you by phone or email.

After deciding if a Red-Dawn puppy is a good choice for your home, you may place a $500 deposit. This puts you on our master deposit list.

Second

Depositors receive notifications of litters when they are born. You tell us when you see a litter you want a puppy from.

Depositors are placed on a litter of interest in the order of seniority of deposits received. The more litters that pass the higher a depositors pick order seniority rises on a future litter. You may not have a high enough seniority of deposit to be on the first litter of interest.

Depositors are given 2 weeks to respond after a litter is announced. After the 2 week deadline we establish a pick order for that litter (based on the seniority of deposits). If you are not happy with your pick number for your litter of interest, you may move off that litter and wait on a future litter of interest.

Third

Choices of puppies are made at 8 weeks of age and puppies go home on that day. Appointments are usually on Thursday & Friday. Depositors are given a 1 hour appointment in order of their pick order for that litter. Choice of puppy can be made in person or over the phone/videos. On puppy choosing day we help you make the choice by discussing each puppy’s Volhard temperament test results and our opinion of each pup’s temperament after living with them. If a good choice is not available in that litter we will forward your deposit to a future litter. Deposits are nonrefundable but they are transferable to future litters.
