Thank you for considering a Red-Dawn Golden Retriever as your next family member. Learn how to buy our English Cream Golden Retriever Puppies. We are a dog breeder producing puppies near Dallas, Texas since 1986. Puppies are raised by a professional dog trainer.

We are located one hour north of Dallas Texas.

We only breed a few litters per year.  Our depositors often wait 4-12 months for a puppy once placing a deposit.

Colors we produce

The majority of our litters are shades that English Creme Golden Retrievers come in: white, cream, light golden.  We also produce occasional litters in medium golden, dark golden and red.

Health & Raising protocol

All parents are fully health tested and certified with OFA, CERF and DNA. Parents (including Grandparents/ Great Grandparents) have testing and certification of Clear/Normal health for Hips and Elbows (no dysplasia) Heart, Eyes (by the ophthalmologist), Thyroid, Patellas and in good overall health.

 

Parents DNA is also tested Clear/Normal

Our Golden Retriever parents are fully DNA tested.  Your Red-Dawn puppy can not inherit the following: PRA Progressive Retinal Atrophy (blindness), PRCD Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (blindness), Von Willdebrands 1 & 2 (hemophilia), Degenerative Myelopathy (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), Dystophic Epidermolysis Bullosa, GM2 Gangliosisdosis,  Neonatal Encephalophay with Seizures, Ostepchondrodysplasia, Ostogenesis Inperfecta, Sensory Ataxic Neuropathy, Cystinuria, Centronuclear Myopathy, Elliptocytosis, Exercise-Induced Collapse, Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis, Hyperuricosuria, Muscular Dystrophy, Myotubular Myopathy 1, Narcolepsy, Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency, Retinal Dysplasia/Osculoskeletal Dysplasia 1, Skeletal Dysplasia 2.

How much is a Red-Dawn Golden Retriever?

All puppies, regardless of size, variety, color or sex are $3500 (plus 8.25% Texas Sales Tax). $500 of that is paid up front to be placed on our master deposit wait list. $3000 remaining purchase plus tax is due once your puppy is chosen at 8 weeks of age.

How the Pick Order/ Deposit process works

Red-Dawn has been blessed with many referrals and repeat puppy buyers. Depositors may have to wait 4-12 months for a puppy based on how often we have a litter. God continues to bless us with healthy puppies, but consequently we have no control over what mother dogs are able to get pregnant or how many puppies are born in each litter. Our mother dogs are pets first, due to this we limit the amount of litters each girl has.

How do you move forward on buying a puppy?

First, we review your answers on the Puppy Application and contact you by phone or email.

After deciding if a Red-Dawn puppy is a good choice for your home, you may put a $500 deposit to go on our master deposit list.

 

How puppy deposits work

Depositors receive notifications of litters when they are born. You tell us when you see a litter you want a puppy from.

Depositors are placed on a litter of interest in the order of seniority of deposits received. The more litters that pass the higher a depositors pick order seniority rises on a future litter. You may not have a high enough seniority of deposit to be on the first litter of interest.

Depositors are given 2 weeks to respond after a litter is announced. After the 2 week deadline we establish a pick order for that litter (based on the seniority of deposits). If you are not happy with your pick number for your litter of interest, you may move off that litter and wait on a future litter of interest.

How you choose a Golden Retriever puppy

Choices of puppies are made at 8 weeks of age and puppies go home on that day. Appointments are usually on Thursday & Friday. Depositors are given a one hour appointment in order of their pick order for that litter. Choice of puppy can be made in person or over the phone/videos. On puppy choosing day we help you make the choice by discussing each puppy’s Volhard temperament test results and our opinion of each pup’s temperament after living with them.  If a good choice is not available in that litter we will forward your deposit to a future litter. Deposits are nonrefundable but they are transferable to future litters.
