Red-Dawn Golden Retrievers
Red-Dawn breeds Golden Retrievers in North Texas. Since 2003, she has been recognized as an AKC Breeder of Merit. The majority of her dogs are English Cream Golden Retrievers from top European kennels. We also have Golden Retrievers from top American lines known for hunting, obedience, agility, and conformation. We started breeding and showing Golden Retrievers in 1986. In 1999, we began Red-Dawn Border Collies. Over the years, Red-Dawn has produced hundreds of working service dogs for people with disabilities. We have also produced hundreds of dogs that compete in agility, obedience, conformation, and many other dog sports. Our lines are fully health-tested with DNA and OFA for generation after generation.
Our goal is to produce the the best-looking dogs with great temperaments and exceptional health.

Health Testing
All Red-Dawn parents are health tested and certified with OFA, CERF and DNA. Parents (including Grandparents/ Great Grandparents) have testing and certification of Clear/Normal health for Hips and Elbows (no dysplasia). The parents have OFA certified Heart, Eyes (by the ophthalmologist), Thyroid, Patellas and overall good health. Parents DNA is also tested Clear/Normal so insure your puppy cannot inherit the following: PRA Progressive Retinal Atrophy (blindness), PRCD Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration (blindness), Von Willdebrands 1 & 2 (hemophilia), Degenerative Myelopathy (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), Dystophic Epidermolysis Bullosa, GM2, Neonatal Encephalophay with Seizures, Ostepchondrodysplasia, Ostogenesis Inperfecta, Sensory Ataxic Neuropathy, Cystinuria, Centronuclear Myopathy, Elliptocytosis, Exercise-Induced Collapse, Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis, Hyperuricosuria, Muscular Dystrophy, Myotubular Myopathy 1, Narcolepsy, Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency, Retinal Dysplasia/Osculoskeletal Dysplasia 1, Skeletal Dysplasia 2.
